To prevent hordes of zombies from overrunning your farm, you can't just plant randomly. Apply the multi-layered defence strategy below to turn your farm into an impenetrable fortress.
Resources fuel any battle. New players' biggest error is focusing on firepower rather than income.
Plant only resource-producing crops in the first 2–3 columns on the left.
In the first few minutes, zombies will appear very slowly. Take advantage of this golden opportunity to maximise your economic output, giving you enough resources to purchase expensive weapons later in the game.
Once your economy is stable, start building defensive barriers using a layered approach. A perfect formation always requires a combination of defence and offence.
Place high-health plants or obstacles at the front to block zombie advance, buying time for the backline to fire.
Incorporate plants with freezing, slowing, or stunning abilities into your formation. Slowing down enemy movement speed optimises damage output.
Plants that snipe, throw grenades, or deal area-of-effect damage should be carefully protected at the back.
